The Test

As the Romulan ship disappears I contact Capt Smith.

Capt Smith will you patch me through to the Romulan ship.

Smith: I'll hail them.

As Smith is working on the hail I looked out the portal again and there is no Romulan ship.

Sirkota to Taylor Sir Commodore Veldman of Acacia Fleet is contacting you.

Taylor: Put him through to my readyroom.

Commodore Veldman: Kent, I have it under good authority that Starfleet placed that hologram of the Romulan ship in the same area of space as the starbase. That was to test the Starbase.

Taylor: Well I'll be. Did we pass? But what about the Romulan warbirds at the border?

Commodore Veldman: Yes, the Starbase and it's crew. Capt Smith was in on it the whole time.
